You cannot scrap them because due to your pops being machines you cannot purge machines. If you enable pop control, then all robots will have a -10% to happiness. Robots are produced along with ascended pops but due to population growth mechanics, robots are empathised because they are a severe minority and within years you will grow from 1 robot-100 ascended pops to 75 robot-125 ascended pops or something like that.ĥ. Roboticists then automatically start producing common robots, who are available pre-ascension. After Ascension, all capital buildings started providing Roboticist jobs so new pops would be produced even without Robotic Assemly Factories and colonization could be possible with only one ascended machine pop available for new coloniesĤ. I had no robots in my organic pre-SE empireģ. I had organic pops, who would ascend to a new species via Synthetic Evolution(SE)Ģ. I'll try to elaborate and make my post clearer:ġ. I just modded them all to have the same traits and portrait, and said 'good enough for me.' I recently had the exact same thing happen in a game where I also had the Awoken, and all three quickly went to a perfect 1/3 each ratio on all of my worlds. Only way to change this is to use population controls - you can actively select which POP is growing/being assembled at a given time, and unlike organic POPs there's no penalty for choosing what is being assembled. So the game will only grow whatever POPs are needed to hit a 50/50 ratio. Since both have perfect habitability everywhere, no homeworld bonus, etc, their ratio will probably be straight 50/50. You've got two species - Robots and Ascended Organics. The formula to determine that ratio is much, much better than it was at 2.2 launch, but the whole system is still just fundamentally flawed from the bottom up.Īnyways, you need to look at your situation like general POP growth.

The problem with all population growth right now is that (based on all the testing or gameplay I've either seen or done myself) the game pretty much just figures out what the 'ideal' ratio of POPs on a planet will be, then only grows the POPs needed to hit that ratio. How they grow is now pretty much the exact same as biological growth, just with assembly jobs instead of the inherent base growth. By going Synthetic Ascension your robots are fully sapient citizens on equal footing to your ascended organic POPs. This is an offshoot of POP growth issues in general.
